Personally, Dubai is the best city I have ever visited. Dubai is a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. On average, a round trip to Dubai costs 350,000 Naira. And this cost is based on the Emirates airline which takes you directly to DXB, no layovers; however there are cheaper airlines that can get you to this city. This piece of writing focuses on why Dubai is a wonderful place to visit; from a personal view and also perspective of others.
Straight from the hotel to your place of residence, this is an incredibly easy city to get around. You will have the option to travel by taxi, but if you are looking for something more budget friendly, you can count on the many efficient buses – which by the way are all air conditioned. You can also go around by bike, by train and by boat. I strongly commend the Dubai Road and Transport Authority.
This may be cliche but I can’t talk about Dubai without mentioning the world’s tallest building! This skyscraper looks impressive in photos, but once one sees it in person, it will be a sight that will never be forgotten. Be sure to get a ticket to the top for about 140 AED; this gives the best experience. It can be a struggle to try and get the whole building in one photograph.
Dubai Mall Is For More Than Shopping
The mall which is located in downtown Dubai is roughly 5-10 minutes away from most areas of Dubai and it is colossal! The extravagant Dubai Mall deserves a whole day to take in all it offers. The mall is split into several sections. Hundreds of shops and restaurants, 22 screen multiplex movie theater, an aquarium, ice skating rink and many other entertainment venues. Be sure to get enough exercise from walking round this mall.
The Free Fountain Show
Dubai Fountain which is located just beside Burj Khalifa is made to impress. Each evening, this world’s largest dancing fountain is illumined with 1.5 million lumen of projected and colorful lights on its shooting water spouts. It performs to a wide variety of synchronized music and water as high as high as a 50-story building. It is visible from any position along the lake promenade and in view from neighboring buildings, besides the Burj Khalifa.
The Desert Safari Jeep Surf
This gives the complete Dubai experience. Travel through the red and golden towers of sand and descend the dunes on mounds with a 300-meter drop. View the dramatic desert landscapes making this one the most interesting side trips imaginable. Some vacation packages also come with dinner and a show.
Dubai Is Surprisingly Diversified
If you ever decide to visit Dubai you can be rest assured that you will find it incredibly diverse. Whatever kind of food you may desire is available in Dubai – Nigerian, English Lebanese, Indian, French… you name it (My favorite remains the Punjabi chicken tandoori)! Most people think Christians cannot live in Dubai, however, there is a church: St Mary’s catholic church; which is located along Oud Metha road, and is easily accessible by the metro train.
Another show of diversification is the Global Village which opens in October every year. As the name implies, it is a Global village or gathering ground where people from various countries showcase their culture, food and art.
Dubai has evolved over the years to become one of the world’s most popular tourists attractions, enticing visitors from different sectors to its shores, to experience the MUST VISIT destination!
