Before you jump into conclusion, this is not about the song ‘Girls Love Beyonce’, which was released by Drake in 2019. But, we would be looking at how one woman; Beyonce a.k.a. ‘Queen Bey’, commands so much respect and love from a lot of ladies.
A brief history however: Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actress and filmmaker. Born and raised in Texas. Beyoncé performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child. Beyoncé is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 100 million records worldwide. Let’s see now, why so many girls love her.
Black Ladies Admire Her Achievements
Beyoncé encompasses everything that a Black woman is. In everything she does, she surpasses expectations. She’s one of the hardest working entertainers. A lot of Black Ladies may not be aspiring to be her, but they are rather obsessively proud because she is simply one of them and commands so much fame! Throughout history, Black women have been placed at the bottom of the social barrel. She combats the images of the servant roles black women once played on a global scale, and for this a lot of black ladies admire her.
Her Wonderful Energy
Beyonce’s music brings pure energy and good vibes. Her energy is just undeniable and inexplicable. She makes people feel good about themselves; it has that much impact. Her music makes girls twerk or pretend to be Sasha Fierce while getting dressed. She enhances the magic in a lot of ladies and compels them to forget the problems of life and just dance.
Entertainment Mogul Making Money Moves
It’s one thing to earn respect as a black woman and be a figure for change. It’s another thing to make SO MUCH money while doing so. Money is another realm that changes the whole game. With money also comes some great amount of power. The 21st century female feminist would agree that it’s very appealing to see another woman afford whatever she wants, make investments and financial decisions without the help of a rich male figure.
She Leads The Revolution
This point just summarizes it all. Generally, in terms of society, a woman(especially black woman) isn’t supposed to be in control or run companies. And this is truly sad, because anyone who wants to be a leader can be one, power isn’t limited to one gender, race or class of people. Girls love Beyoncé because she creates another narrative and another lane for women. She gives them a voice: not all girls are the same and choose to succumb to societal expectations.
Girls love Beyoncé because she shows the world that women are allowed to be more than just ‘women’.
