University of Ibadan is the best university in Nigeria (SEE RANKING)


Findings from The Journals Consortium has announced that the University of Ibadan, Oyo State is the Number One university in Nigeria.

After studying 1,447 higher institutions through research publications, citations from the last five years (2010 to 2014) and visibility on the internet, UI came on top for the second time since it’s establishment in 1948.

The Journals Consortium also viewed all universities in Africa into ranking and that saw the University of Cape Town topping the rank with a Total Influence Factor (TIF) of 45.02, and Cairo University was next in line with 43.43 followed by the University of Pretoria (43.35).

On the continental level, this is how Nigerian universities ranked:
