Mike Daemon has launched what’s said to be the first Lesbian Gay Bi Sexual Transgender Intersex & Queer (LGBTIQ) podcast in Nigeria.
Looks like despite Anti-Same Sex Marriage law signed by former President Goodluck Jonathan which criminalized same-sex relationships, LGBTIQ community are vocal, expressive and liberated more than ever before.
Titled NoStrings, the Nigerian LGBTIQ podcast addresses discrimination against gay men and lesbian women in Nigeria. Sahara Reporters also claim that the podcast has featured interviews with gay and lesbian Nigerians living within the country, and in the diaspora including John Adewoye, an openly gay Nigerian and ex-Priest, based in Chicago and also featured openly gay Nigerian filmmakers, Elizabeth Obisanya and Adaora Nwandu.
