Raheem Sterling becomes most expensive English footballer in history signing a £44 M deal for Manchester City

20-year-old Raheem Sterling from Chile is said to have become the most expensive English footballer in history.

He made history after he signed for Manchester City from Liverpool on a five-year contract.

The deal was reported to cost £44 million and could rise to £49 million. “It’s a good feeling and this is really happy time for me and my family. I‘m just glad it’s all over and done with and I can’t wait to get on the training field. The thing that excites me the most is the world class squad we have and knowing we have a team that is capable of winning things year in, year out,” Sterling was quoted as saying to City’s official website.
