2015 APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari is in London to speak at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House in London.
But first he met up with some political figures both Nigerian and British taking pictures with Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal and Bolo Ahmed Tinibu.
The Presidential candidate was photographed wearing a trench coat arriving at the airport and he wore that throughout his first day over his Northern traditional tunic gear.
According to the BBC:
It is a fashion classic that has endured through the decades. But away from catwalk shows and Hollywood glamour, the trench coat’s first starring role was in World War One kitting out battle-weary soldiers.
But now trench coat is now synonymous with elan and sophistication but its origins in bloody battlefields cannot be forgotten. Obviously we don’t know if the general had thought deeply before throwing on the trench in specifics but then, we can’t deny that for someone of his statute, what an iconic piece to pull off.
